As you get to a faster tempo, and I mean a much faster tempo, then you start to incorporate a little bit of bounce with your wrist, but this is all wrist. Right now, this is all sticking.

So now you have the very basic beginning of how to approach playing the ride cymbal. Let me help you out with something else. Your arms at no point should be out here. No, that's incorrect. So when you sit down at the drums, you should always feel comfortable.

So, this is what I guess I'm getting at, is that the more you play and the more you practice this, the more you understand how it should feel. And when you get to that point, every time you sit down to play, it should be that. It shouldn't be anything different. It should always be that.
